Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs how you may use the Osiris platform and the Ozzie analyst (the “Service”). It is part of our Terms of Use. Open-source intelligence is powerful; used wrongly it can harm people. By using the Service you agree to use it responsibly and lawfully.

1. Use it lawfully

You may only use the Service for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including data-protection, privacy, anti-stalking, harassment, computer-misuse/anti-hacking, sanctions, and export-control laws in your jurisdiction and the target’s.

2. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

• Harass, stalk, threaten, dox, or intimidate any person, or to facilitate domestic abuse, gender-based violence, or any targeting of an individual that endangers their safety.
• Surveil or profile individuals unlawfully, or in violation of their privacy rights or applicable data-protection law.
• Make decisions about a person’s eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or other benefits, or otherwise use output as a “consumer report” under the U.S. FCRA or similar laws.
• Scan, probe, penetrate, or test the security of any network, system, or device you do not own or are not explicitly authorized in writing to assess.
• Attempt to de-anonymize, re-identify, or aggregate data to harm individuals or evade legal protections.
• Engage in fraud, extortion, discrimination, or any activity that violates the rights of others.
• Resell, redistribute, scrape, or sublicense the underlying data feeds or bulk outputs, or use the Service to build a competing dataset, except as expressly permitted.
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, authentication, or usage tiers; or use automated means to overload or disrupt the Service.
• Violate the terms of any third-party data source the Service relies on.
• Use the Service for state-sponsored surveillance or any activity prohibited by applicable sanctions or export-control regimes.

3. Authorization is your responsibility

Reconnaissance and active-check features may only be run against assets you own or are clearly authorized to assess. You are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary authorization, and for the consequences of running checks without it.

4. Accuracy and fair use of results

OSINT can be incomplete or wrong. Do not present Ozzie’s output as established fact, and independently verify before acting on or publishing anything. Do not use the Service to spread defamation or misinformation.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, and report unlawful activity to authorities, with or without notice. We may also cooperate with law-enforcement requests as required by law.

6. Reporting abuse

To report misuse of the Service, or a privacy concern about information surfaced about you, contact anthony@theastraway.com. We take reports seriously and will respond consistent with applicable law.
